VINFAST AND RENESAS PARTNERSHIP TO ADVANCE AUTO

VinFast, Vietnam’s first global EV maker, and Renesas Electronics Corporation, a Japanese premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, recently announced that the two were expanding their collaboration agreement. It will now include automotive technology development of electric vehicles (EVs) and delivery of system components. Attending the signing ceremony of the collaboration in VinFast’s Haiphong City factory were VinFast’s CEO, Le Thi Thu Thuy and Renesas’ CEO, Hidetoshi Shibata.

In this new agreement, Renesas should provide a larger range of products to VinFast, including SoCs, microcontrollers, analog and power semiconductors. Renesas will also provide technical support to assist VinFast in developing future automotive applications and mobility services.
