ABB’S WILL INVEST IN NEW AMERICAN FACILITY
ABB E-mobility, a leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure solutions, is continuing its expansion in the United States. The company will invest several million dollars to build a new plant in Columbia, South Carolina, to meet the growing demand for electric mobility in North America and reduce delivery times by creating a more efficient local supply chain. Beginning in 2023, the facility will produce up to 10,000 chargers annually ranging from 20 kW to 180 kW.
“Expanding our U.S. manufacturing operations will allow us to better serve our customers and help drive the adoption of EVs, from personal vehicles to public transportation and fleets,” said Bob Stojanovic, vice president of ABB E-mobility in North America, in a press release.
