VINFAST DELIVERS THE FIRST 100 UNITS OF ITS VF 8

Last Saturday, VinFast made the first 100 deliveries of its VF 8 electric SUV. The Vietnamese company has started deliveries on its territory. The remaining 5,000 vehicles for the European and North American markets are expected to arrive by the end of the year. Currently, the vehicles are manufactured in Vietnam, but the company plans to open a facility in North Carolina that will eventually build the two electric SUVs, VF 8 and VF 9, destined for the United States and Canada. The newcomer could capture market share as waiting lists for many EV models continue to grow in this country.

Available in Eco and Plus versions, the VF 8 has a starting price of $54,990, plus a monthly battery subscription. According to the European/Worldwide Load Test Cycle, VinFast claims a maximum range of 471 km for the Eco and up to 447 km for the Plus variant in 2023 models.
