QUÉBEC-BASED PROEV TO OPEN A LARGE EV SITE IN MONTREAL
ProEV, a division of Electrical Components International (ECI) based in Quebec has recently announced the opening of the largest electrification site dedicated to the engineering and manufacturing of commercial and industrial electric vehicles in North America. ECI’s 38th facility worldwide will help the company to serve its more than 500 global customers with its 25,000 employees.
The new site will be located on Côte-de-Liesse Road and it comes with the announcement of a $10 million investment over 5 years to support the highest quality facilities in a completely renovated building. It will also include an innovation department to improve manufacturing processes and existing technologies.
Consequently, such a move will give Greater Montréal a more obvious position as a major North American hub for the transportation electrification, particularly for commercial and industrial vehicles.
