AN ONTARIO PLANT FOR TESLA?

The Electric Autonomy Canada website published an exclusive article this week about the probable arrival of a Tesla factory in Canada.
At Tesla’s annual shareholder meeting on August 4, Elon Musk was quoted as saying that he intends to set up a new factory in Canada. Electric Autonomy Canada reported on August 5 that the company’s CEO “asked attendees about the location of the next Tesla factory and said out loud, ‘We hear a lot about Canada. I’m half Canadian, maybe I should?”

The media outlet also exclusively reports the U.S. automaker’s latest goal as of July 2022, contained in lobbyist registration papers recently filed with the Ontario government. According to the papers, “Tesla has been in talks with the Ontario government to improve the province’s competitiveness in attracting manufacturing facilities.”
