Volkswagen will soon produce its electric microbus

Volkswagen just revealed a prototype version of its Microbus-inspired ID.Buzz electric van—the electric VW Bus—that should be a real indication of the production version due to 2023. The camouflaged ID.Buzz was shown briefly by Klaus Zellmer, head of marketing and sales for the VW brand globally, during the livestream of the ID.5 crossover reveal (also seen in the picture). The vehicle is a good indication of what the production ID.Buzz should look like. The ID.Buzz was first revealed as a concept car back in January 2017 at the Detroit Auto Show. This model looking a little bit different from the concept will use the same MEB platform as the ID.4 and ID.5. It is coordinated with a cargo version (seen as a concept in 2018) while some reports indicate that the production of both the cargo and passenger versions will be entrusted to a Hanover, Germany, factory that builds commercial vehicles.
