Future Medium Duty Chevy Truck To Use HydroTec Fuel Cells

General Motors has unveiled its plans to offer a new Medium Duty Chevy truck utilizing an all-electric powertrain, a topic that has been covered many times in the last few years. In addition to this, the automotive giant said it would also offer a Medium Duty Chevy Truck using hydrogen power with its HydroTec fuel cell technology. General Motors CEO, Mary Barra, announced the new products to investors. The new vehicles are not expected to launch until after the 2025.

The GM HydroTec fuel cell technology in a new Medium Duty Chevy truck should be considered an affordable hydrogen fuel cell power solution for land, air, and sea applications. HydroTec technology has been around for some 15 years with first-gen Chevy Equinox models used as prototypes.
