Taiga is establishing in Shawinigan

Taiga Motors, Quebec’s newest electric vehicle builder, has just announced that it would establish its first electric snowmobiles, personal watercrafts and side-by-side ATVs in Shawinigan, north of Trois-Rivières. Production should start next year as some 80,000 units are projected until 2025. The plant should employ some 50 workers. 

On the other hand, as the prototypes have been tested and declared efficient as far as range, reliability, performance and price are concerned, the time has come to also establish a network of fast charging stations with the help of the Quebec Snowmobilers Federation, a network that should expand to Ontario and the Northern United States The biggest challenge will surely be remote region stations.
