Ford to invest some $100 million to build E-Transit

According to Automotive News, Ford Motor Co. is planning to invest $100 million and create 150 full-time jobs at its Kansas City Assembly Plant where the upcoming E-Transit van is going to be built.

That electric van, to be revealed in November, should go on sale in late 2021 as a 2022 model.
What’s more, Ford said it would invest $150 million and retain 225 jobs to make e-motors and e-transaxles for new EVs at its Van Dyke Transmission Plant in
Sterling Heights, Mich. The Kansas City Plant also builds F-150 pick-ups that have been recently improved.
