Volvo Receives the Largest Electric Bus Order in Europe

Volvo has received the largest order to date for electric buses in Europe. In  2020, Volvo Buses will deliver 157 articulated electric buses to transit company  Transdev. Buses will run in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Transdev orders Volvo’s 7900 Electric model, which can carry 150 passengers and has 80% less energy consumption than a corresponding diesel bus. Buses will be reloaded at fast-charging stations along the route, using the OppCharge charge
