Ford SUV May be Built by Rivian

A new Ford electric SUV may be built by startup Rivian at their plant in Normal, Illinois according to an interview with Ford CEO Jim Hackett in MotorTrend.

Ford and Rivian announced a strategic partnership in April. The SUV is due to share all of Rivian’s core components including battery pack, power electronics, electric motors, and electronic architecture, but Ford will develop the aesthetic design of the vehicle.
