23 states now oppose EPA fuel economy freeze

Governors of 23 states and Puerto Rico have urged the Trump administration to reconsider its proposal to freeze federal vehicle fuel efficiency standards until 2026

“Strong vehicle standards protect our communities from air pollution and unnecessary fuel costs, and they address the largest source of carbon pollution in the United States,” they said in the letter.
