Ferrari SF90 Hyper Hybrid Unveiled

Ferrari has unveiled a new car: the SF90 Stradale is a plug-in hybrid but with a bit of an upgrade. It comes with 769 horsepower gas engine making it the most powerful V8-powered Ferrari to date. Then Ferrari adds 3 lithium-ion battery-powered electric motors – two in the front and one on the rear axle – totalling 217 hp. The complete powertrain packs a whopping 986 hp. It is also all-wheel drive.

The results are that the SF90 Stradale can sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.5 seconds, 125 mph (201 km/h) in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h). There are 4 driving modes eDrive, Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify. eDrive relies solely on battery power for up to 25 km of range. Hybrid switches between battery and electric. Performance uses the engine to help charge the electric modes. And Qualify unleashes all 986 hp.

The price and availability of this hyper-hybrid have not been confirmed, but expect it to be extremely expensive.
