Kenworth to build hydrogen powered trucks with the help of Toyota

The world of electric vehicles does not strictly belong to small cars. Indeed, American truck maker PACCAR has recently announced that it teamed up with Japanese Toyota to build some ten highway tractors running electric motors fed by hydrogen Toyota Mirai fuel cells.

Those Kenworth trucks will be operating in the vicinity of the Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors delivering cargo to nearby distribution centers. Those trucks should have a 480 km range.
