Audi A4-Sized Electric Sedan Confirmed

Audi will add an A4-sized electric sedan its lineup, the automaker’s design chief, Marc Lichte, has confirmed. The potential Tesla Model 3 rival will arrive in 2023 and be priced similarly to the Q4 e-tron electric crossover SUV. Lichte added that the A4-sized electric sedan will be based on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) modular EV platform being developed by Audi in partnership with Porsche.

When it arrives in 2013 the Audi electric sedan will face stiff competition not only from the Model 3 but also the Polestar 2 sedan, BMW i4 sedan, and potentially a Mercedes-Benz electric sedan similar in size to the C-Class.

Volkswagen Group, Audi’s parent company, has committed to introducing 70 new electric cars by the end of 2028 including Audi brand vehicles.
